Jen Herrmann

Prior to her career in fitness, Jen Herrmann was a lawyer. When her passion for that profession faded, Jen left to pursue another dream – a career in fitness – and joined the Performance Fitness team in June of 2020.

A few weeks later she took a leave when her son, Franklin, decided to make an early debut into the world. But she was back with us eight short weeks later and has been wowing our clients with her kick-butt workouts and dynamic personality ever since.

Jen says her biggest motivation to stay fit is that she wants to feel physically prepared to do anything she wants to do – whether that’s carrying all the groceries in one trip, racing an obstacle course on a mountain, or becoming a first-time mom in her late 30s.

Jen lives with her loving husband, Brian, their baby boy, Franklin, and their 10-year-old American bulldog, Macky. When Jen isn’t doing mom things (when aren’t we doing mom things?) or training clients she enjoys doing metabolic conditioning workouts, reading, and experimenting with food (both cooking and eating).

Jen is certified as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Questions for Jen:

Favorite exercise? Thrusters. They are “painful” but provide pretty much a full-body workout in one movement.

Craziest fitness/diet fad? Master Cleanse (“lemonade diet,” “lemon detox diet”)

Favorite quote? “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” -Maya Angelou

Bacon or Ice Cream? I really enjoy both, but I indulge in ice cream more often.
